Nigerian Scam - Initial Emails

I’d heard about the Nigerian Scam before, so when I received the email below, I recognized it immediately. But, having too much time on my hands, I thought it might be fun to mess with the petty criminals who run such things. This is where it all begins.

My dear, I am miss Angela from Addis ababa, single and 21 year old girl. Immediately after going through your profile i made up my mind to contact you for marriage or long term relationship because you are my choice of trust and i see nothing wrong with the choice that i have made in you. Now that i am in a state of absolute confussion I must reveal to you that my daddy was the Financial controler to the Common Wealth North African Region who was killed with my mother by un-identified family enemies along Addis Ababa international Airport road and i am the only child.

Before my daddy died he made his WILL and i am the beneficiary of the amount of 14.5 Million gbp£ in his account with Barclays Bank PLC in London. i have the bank statement of account with me here. My friend (sister francisca) who promised to take me to London invited me to The Catholic Sisters Mission here in Dakar to avoid my family enemies who killed my parents from attacking me, so that i will travel to London through the Catholic Sisters Mission, But it did not work out as i am not a catholic Sister mission student and recently my friend was posted to a catholic church in a village in the Gambia (the next country). i want you to help me and also be my fund and investment manager.

Reply me on email: Angelakenn222@gmail.com In your reply do give me your personal telephone number and house address if possible.

Yours sincerely,
Miss Angela Kennedy

Here’s the message I sent to her initial contact email:

Dear Miss Angela,
I was glad to get your letter and hear that you picked me and I’ll help you in any way I can. I have read lots of information about investing and have given my mom advice about her mutual funds, so I’m sure I would be good at managing your fund. I can do that online, right? I guess they have internet in Aduba abobo or whatever. Where is that anyway?

Since we’re going to get married, maybe we should know a little more about each other. I’m 37, single, and live in my mom’s basement. My favorite hobbies are warcraft and well, warcraft LOL. But I also like to learn about money, so I’ll start studing investments for your fund.

Please send more information and maybe a picture when you get a chance, then I’ll send you mine.
Sincerely,
sign me “lovebug” for now
p.s. You’re not a jihadi or anything, are you? Cuz I really don’t get into politics. :)
