So You Want to Start a Home Based Business?

Maybe you just had a baby and can’t fathom returning to a full time 9 to 5 job out of the home.  Maybe you are tired of your long commute and emptying your pockets to pay for gas. No matter what your situation is, if you are ready to join the over 12 million other home based businesses in the U.S., you need to first be sure that you have one thing. Commitment. If you are open to giving this business everything you have got and more, you’ve got a pretty good chance at success. Commitment means hard work and long hours, but in the end, it will pay off!

After commitment, the highest contributing factors to a successful home-based business include having enough money (although some can start a business from virtually nothing - I believe that), having enough resources to hire employees or contractors to assist with the tasks you aren’t the greatest at, your education level, and your bottom-line reason for wanting to work from home. (Perhaps it was to balance your work and family life better, or to simply be your own boss.)
