Ok, maybe a lame tagline, but SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” really does come in handy for small businesses. With a history of having helped over 7.8 million small businesses, SCORE is “a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide.” SCORE partners with the U.S. Small Business Administration, also known as SBA.

More than 10,500 people volunteer as SCORE Counselors, helping small businesses in multiple ways, including offering email advice online, face-to-face small business mentoring at 389 of its chapter offices, low cost workshops, online workshops and learning, and thousands of “how to” articles and business templates.
