My big announcement…and more work from home info
Okay, I’m pretty far along enough to tell you all - I’m expecting Baby #2 - due this September! As some of you may know, I have a two year old daughter, and we are excited about growing our family. It’s been a great pregnancy thus far, even with all the morning sickness and the latest I’ve had to contend with - a stomach bug. Thankfully I’m now feeling better, and ever grateful that I work for myself and from home. I don’t remember how I got through my entire pregnancy at my last job - full time, in the office - was I really this tired all the time? (Then again, I didn’t have a little toddler then to chase around!)
When #2 comes along, it will be wonderful but definitely a challenge for me considering I do own a business and I’ve just mastered working it all (with my schedule, my daughter’s daycare three times a week, and more). But, such is life, and I’m ready for it!
As a mother, I feel strongly about parents being able to spend as much time as possible with their children. This is the number one reason why I am such a big advocate for telecommuting and working from home.

What an exhaustive list! Congrats on your pending addition!
Thank you! :o)
Great list, thank you! It might help lazy people like me to if you were able to include links to the companies’ websites. And congrats on numero dos. We have yet to take the plunge but the discussion is on the table, as our toddler is almost 3 and I’ve been telecommuting since he was a wrinkled-old-man baby. I’ve had to be super creative about this, as I have found that the companies I work for have no problem with me working from home with the little guy, so long as I am only working part-time (even if that’s 30 hours a week.) But the minute we discuss me going full-time/permanent employee, they want me to have full-time childcare. So thanks again for this list, I’ll be sure to reference it in the future!
Congrats on #2!! We just had our 2nd last year!! Thanks for keeping up with the lists, even through those wonderful morning sickness days!! It really helps moms like me.
Congrats on baby #2! My first and only child is 14 months and we’re now considering #2. I’m excited just thinking about it, but yet a bit nervous since it’s a lot. Although I’m really lucky to be able to stay home too. GOOD LUCK and wishing you a very pleasant pregnancy along with a bouncing healthy baby boy or girl.
Thank you all so much for your well wishes!!
Best wishes on the upcoming baby #2.
It’s always hard to figure out which companies are REAL and which are scams. Your list definitely is a great resource for folks who haven’t yet found a virtual job that fits their skills or their schedule.
I often lurk your blog but have never commented. Anyway, being a mom myself, I just could not help share your joy. Congrates on #2.
