About Steve, Joe, and I’ve Tried That
Here’s everything you never wanted to know about your hosts and the creation of the site.
I’ve Tried That
I’ve Tried That is the collaborative project of Joe and Steve. They met late one night in a speakeasy on the dark side of town. Steve had been performing one of his many interpretive dances while Joe turned tabs at the bar. It wasn’t an easy life for either of them and they both wanted a way out.
After watching Steve get booed off stage for the 145th consecutive time, Joe approached Steve and said, “You know what the this world needs? A place with personal reviews of different online programs. We can try a bunch of different programs and give our opinions on them and all the while we’ll try and make advertising cash on the side. Maybe even save some folks from getting scammed.”
Naturally, Steve agreed and I’ve Tried That was born.
Joe
I started searching for online work about 3 years ago during a period of unemployment. Just like you, I almost got sucked into scams because their presell pages made it seem like I was the only fool not making money online. I became disgusted with the tons of scams out there and wanted to create a site where people could go for impartial, first-person reviews of programs and products.
I am a published writer, have a Ph.D. in Literature, and about 10 years of teaching experience. I currently work as a technical and marketing writer in Utah. I am the father of five and husband of one with varying degrees of success.
Steve
As an all around nice guy with an excellent internet personality, I am, hands down, the best blogger in my workspace. How did I get here? Well, I am an internet entrepreneur. My first big break came from a site called ‘Save and Make’ which helped aspiring telecommuters find jobs that would allow them to work from home. The site has developed drastically and is now known as The Daily Telecommuter. Since the site’s start 10 months ago, an approximate 2400 jobs have been posted with at least 25 posted more each day. Hundreds of people subscribe to the Daily Telecommuter and many of them have found work-at-home jobs.
I don’t have half of the writing experience that Joe has, but I start blogs and different websites and profit from them. Maintaining websites has become my main source of income and while it’s great to work from home and be your own boss, there are a lot of struggles to cope with when working from home. I also handle all the financial and technical aspects of I’ve Tried That. How Joe ever agreed to letting me handle the money, I’ll never know.

I have been looking online for a work at home opportunity, as I have a new baby and would like to quit my current job to stay home with him. I came across a website that states it is free to join http://www.homestaffingexperts.com. I searched your site to see if there were any comments on this ‘work at home’ opportunity, but could not find anything.
Please advise as to if you have heard of or tired this company.
Thanks!
I’m looking for an online business thats legitemate. I’m looking into “Instant Wealth Generator”. From the research I’ve done I haven’t found any bad publicity. I haven’t found any positive publicity either. Has anyone tried this? Send a reply please. I’m also looking into “Wealthy Affiliates”. I haven’t researched the latter as much but I’m going to. Can anyone help? I’d appreciate it. I have some money to invest but I have to be careful.
Thanks Derriek
Please beware of homestaffingexperts.com
It’s a pyramid scam, it’s worthless, I have spent tons of money and time on the ads with no return on investment
Consider affiliate marketing if you want to make money online
Hi Steve and Joe
I wrote in a little bit earlier today about getting ripped off from process at home.
I just wanted to mention that I have written some articles on ezinearticles.com trying to expose what a rip off affiliate marketing is. If you could critique them for me I would surely appreciate it. Alot of people read them but noone leaves any coments. My author name is RobbyJack
I am just a retired construction worker with an attitude, trying to make extra income on the net.

Looks too good to be true. Therefore…
After receiving numerous telemarketing offers through cold calls, emails, mailings of letters and postcards I found 3 companies that are selling peoples info to telemarketers on a broker/mailing list who made claims they got my info from a credit card purchase or my bank. Which is very suspicious because I don’t have a credit card or use a bank anymore because of bad service/sending checks through 2-3 times and overdrawing account then charging for it/etc. so now I use a Federal Credit Union. So after responding through BBB complaints back about their FALSE claims of where they got my info from the company never responded back or the BBB just put my complaint down as not accepting companies response/unresolved. These companies are:
American List Counsel
4300 Route 1 CN-5219
Princeton,NJ 08543
609-580-2800
Direct Marketing Association
1120 Ave. of the Americans
New York,NY 10036-6700
212-768-7277
Cutting Edge Media Inc. / True Wealth Magazine
1595 S. Mount Joy St.
Elizabethtown,PA 17022
800-561-9297
Which some telemarketers said to call to get your info off the broker/mailing list sold to telemarketing companies , but won’t STOP any cold calls/emails/mailings by telemarketers just slow down the offers. So how do these companies get peoples info who don’t have a credit card with a bank, filled/signed up any form to be put on a broker/mailing list or anywhere, never signed up for any home business offer, etc.? Since these companies are breaking no laws selling these lists ,what about where/how their getting peoples info to sell? Especially when their claims are LIES where they say they got your info from to sell, kind of sounds like Identity Theft on how they’re getting some peoples info. Have you guys heard of these companies?
I’ve subscribed to I’ve Tried That for a long time now. I am interested in any information anyone might have on UndergroundCashSecrets.com.
Many Thanks.
Thank you for watching these frauds. More and more companies — including “legitimate” ones — prey upon people who can least afford it: people fall for these scams when out of work, desperate and have bills piling up.
