Let’s review that letter again and focus on the bolded sentences.

• Your salary will fall in the range of $130,000 to $624,000 per year.
• The work is easy, you only need to know how to use a keyboard, and pretty much everyone is qualified.
• The only work you need to do is fill out a few forms online.
• You need to pay some random guy to do work for him.
• This is not a get rich quick scheme.

Actually, there is a bit of truth to that last line. It’s absolutely not a get rich quick scheme. There’s no way in hell you’ll get rich quick, or even get rich for that matter. The only one making any money here is Mr. Robert Funk Lee. And he’s making off with all of your money.

To someone desperately searching for a new job, this letter might come off as convincing but, always know that if it sounds too good to be true, it almost always is. No one gets paid half a million dollars for knowing how to type.
