As long as new data entry scams keep popping up, we’ll keep knocking them out of the park. From Home Data Entry is no exception. It surfaced mid-summer and is employing new tricks to lead victims to believe that new method of data entry has surfaced and is profitable. It costs money to join. Yes, instead of getting paid, you have to pay your employer. Sounds kind of backwards, no?
Don’t Work for FromHomeDataEntry.com
FromHomeDataEntry.com uses a different approach to lure you into buying a data entry job. Instead of the usual sales pitch that goes a little like MAKE SEVEN BILLION DOLLARS NOW, they, instead, offer you a free trial that consists of 7 data entry assignments. On completion of these assignments, you’ll receive a $10 credit to your account.
If you complete all 7 assignments, you’ll have $70 sitting in your account and you’ll probably be ready to do more work or at least cash you the money you’ve made. However, if you want to do more work, or even receive the money that is due to you, you need to first become a paying member.
Let’s try this again.
In order to make money at FromHomeDataEntry.com, you need to first pay them money.

Why the hell would you need to pay someone to give you money? That’s like your boss asking for a five dollar bill in order to hand you your paycheck. It just doesn’t make sense! And to top it all off, paying members must hit a balance of $1000 before cashing out!

As you complete your trial assignments, you are directed to use a form to submit your answers. The form can be found here: http://www.fromhomedataentry.com/form.html and it is the same form used for every assignment. The form was generated using ‘PHP FormMail Generator’ and after looking through the source code, it didn’t look like the form actually did anything. Yes, you could fill it out entirely and press submit, but what happens after that?
Shady Business Practice #3: WHOIS? No thanks.
One way to find out more information about a company is to lookup the WHOIS information on their domain name. This will give you the contact information of the owner if the registration has not been set to private. The contact information wasn’t set to private for FromHomeDataEntry.com but rather, this is the listed contact information.

I ALMOST want to join just to see if I could get them to pay me a lot of money. After every assignment, you are sent to this page: http://fromhomedataentry.com/members/credit.cgi where you have to manually type in your username and password in order to receive “credit” for your work.
The thing is, you can visit that page at any time and submit your username and password for free $10 credits. After you submit your username and password once, you can press refresh as many times as you wish and $10 credits will keep arriving in your account. I’m currently at $1600. Surely, a legitimate job would have much better security systems in place that would prevent it’s employees from depositing thousands of dollars into their accounts within seconds.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say they don’t care how much or how often you credit your account because they have no interest in paying you in the first place.

Steve, I agree 1000% with your assessment about the homedataentry.com site that you reviewed in your article. Four years ago, I was one of the suckers who invested, then, $49 to become a member of their little”community”. It’s an absolute scam. They provide tutorials to “get you started” on your money making ventures. Unfortunately, as I found out to my frustration, what I learned did not amount to anything worthwhile. I did not make one dime in my attempts.
I since go by the golden rule with regards to working from home. If any site offering home-based opportunities asks for money up front allowing you to join as a “member” you should do the following. RUN, do not walk away from them. These include all survey companies that promise, for $49.99, if you join as a member they will provide you with a list of one hundred or more survey sites; all you have to do is complete a profile. They guarantee that you will make a five/six-figure yearly income, putting in only two hours/day of work. For everyone’s information, by doing research on your own, (google, yahoo search engines) you CAN find the sites that do have legitimate good survey opportunities. And, they are all FREE to join!
Please everyone, do not fall for these well-conceived, bogus scams! And from personal experience, I can tell you that the site HomeDataEntry site, is definitely one such bogus opportunity that should be complete IGNORED!!

I’ve been doing this system for the last two weeks and have earned almost $400. I decided to request a pay out and this is the message I got after filling out my info:
“We have received your request for payout. We now have to verify each assignment to make sure that you have followed all of our terms on each assignment. Please allow us 2-4 weeks to verify all of your assignments before we are able to process any payment. We will notify you as soon as your payment has been processed. DO NOT REQUEST PAYOUT AGAIN! I joined fromhomedateentry just saturday night. It is now Tuesday and I cannot get in to do my assignments. That’s how I found your site. Trying to get into my assignments. What’s up with that? I pray this is not a SCAM! Because I was referred to this company by a close friend, who was also referred to by another person, this other person emailed my friend a Screen Shot of $975 after the Paypal fees. She told my friend that she did get paid my them. This was a trusted individual that my friend was dealing with.
I will be speaking to my friend sometime today about this.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you’ve been scammed and any money you invested into the program and any money you made working for the program has been lost.

We could get a refund if we state to our banks or paypal that the company didn’t deliver as promised on their product. Usually you just go into the bank and fill out a form and they will credit your account back temporary until it is fully investigated.
I know they got all of our very upset emails. Maybe their are scared! Hope so anyway.

We all can file a complaint with the following below: (Just Google each one) it will bring up the main site for each.
-U.S. Department of Justice (The Handled consumer complaints for Fraud on the internet)
-Federal Bureau Of Investigation (They handled Internet Business Fraud issues)
-IC3.Gov (This is a Internet Crime Complaint Center and they refer complaints of Cyber-Crime)
-On Guard Online (Internet Fraud issues)
This is just a few I have information on many more. I am going to file a complaint with at least two Agencies.

i’m not convinced it’s a scam until someone actaully says they’ve requested payment and have not gotten it (and that they actually DID review the web pages).
i was told it would take around 4 weeks to receive a check from their customer service department. i don’t think that’s a long time given the fact that a lot of people really aren’t doing a review of the site.
many of these sites have a lot of grammar and spelling errors that a spell check and grammar check won’t pick up. if you were really reviewing these sites you would know that.
be careful about running to the above mentioned places and complaining without some kind of proof. i don’t see any actual proof that this company is not for real. if you run around slandering them it could come right back at you.
as of now, and correct me if i’m wrong, i have not heard anyone on this site, or any other, say that they have been wronged by this company.

What makes you so sure this isn’t a scam? Let’s review:
-You have to PAY them money to work.
-They started in July, yet have had “proof of payments” posted on their website since the site has opened”
-There are no accounts anywhere online of people being paid by this company.
-You can quickly and easily add thousands of dollars to your account.
-They follow the exact same formula as the other 10,000 data entry scams out there.
-Whens the last time you worked a job where you had to pay your employer $50 up front to work? That’s like working at a grocery store, but paying your manager to be able to work the cash register. Where’s the logic in that!?
-You have TO PAY TO WORK.
By all means, keep working and sending them money if you think it’s legitimate, but you will be back here soon enough complaining that you haven’t been paid.

I would like to know how many Data Entry Assignments you reviewed? I reviewed 355. I was sent additional 200 Assignments to complete for a total of 300. The additional 55 were duplicates.
I was told I wouldn’t be paid for any duplicates and to start from number one, because they updated their system. Plus I always heard back from Tina by email if I had questions up until now.
She would respond to my friend and I emails within at least 2 business days. It has been one week and neither of us have heard anything regarding our payout.
We are both Professional Women who thought we could make a little extra money outside of our Full-Time Careers.
As I stated before I pray they are not a SCAM for all the hard work many of us have put in. You are not the only person Susan that has put in long tiring hours to put out very accurate, professional work.
Also why wouldn’t they tell everyone that have completed their work, that their check will arrived approximately in 4 weeks?
I ask for my money to be sent to my Paypal Account. Why didn’t you? The Paypay fees aren’t that much to transfer your Paypal money to your Bank Account.
Lastly, I have reported them to Anti-Scam Sites as “The Company Not Contacting their Members regarding their payouts and giving step by step instruction regarding their payout.”
It just doesn’t sound or look good period as Steve have said.
By the way, you might want to review your blog for misspellings since you stated above that others haven’t check Fromhomedataentry Assignments accurately. That is not a nice comment to make.

If you paid through Paypal, look at the receipt and it will tell you where the money was sent. I am also one of the people duped by this site. I fully intend to allot a certain amount of money to advertise against this company. I am disabled and am in the middle of getting my disability and can’t afford to be scammed but it happened. These people have no conscience nor heart. I plan to post negative threads(the truth) about this company whenever the opportunity presents itself.

If you do not find any mistakes on these site then you will not be compensated for any assignments that you submit.” We do not expect you to catch every single mistake as that is hardly humanly possible, but you failed to find any of them, even though these websites were full of them. Being that other members were able to find many mistakes for the same websites that you were not able to, these companies will not pay for it.
6. “You are required to use complete sentences being as descriptive as possible when you are completing your assignments in all of your answers for questions numbers 1, 3 and 4. A complete sentence must include the following: start with a capital letter, finish with proper punctuation, include a subject, and it must include include a verb. Any fragment sentences will not be accepted. You must also use proper spelling and grammar in your assignments. Abbreviations are not acceptable. You will not be paid for any assignments that are submitted without complete sentences being used.” This is to be treated as a professional job and if you were to type up any reports for any company your job would not last very long if you could not use complete sentences. You basically answered with one or two word answers, you did not use capital letters to start your sentences and, you failed to use punctuation at the end of sentences. If you do not know how to use complete sentences you should not be doing this work, because these companies simply will not pay for any assignments that are not completed with complete sentences.

I have joined this program and have submitted my assignments. I received an email which states 6 to 8 weeks for payment.
I have been in contact with them about the comments on the internet and they have answered back with there explanations.
Keep in mind this company has not been around to long and I believe in giving everyone a chance.
When you are a private contractor which is what you really are, you will have some expense. They offer three packages which you can chose from. It is always best to pick the least expensive the first time. You really are paying for the work someone has done on all the links.
Everything is a chance and they do have the backing of the 100% Scamefree tested and legit. Has anyone written that to ask if there is a problem?
The BBB says they have an F rating but that is because there is not enough information on this company. You have to pay to belong to BBB and then build your company information.
I am a writer and have a fair amount of writing experience in writing and I can tell you they do have strict terms to meet. I find I can do only 1 and hour in most cases in order to meet their terms. This is not a program for everyone.
Well I hope everyone gets paid and I hope the program is not a scam because it would be a good way to make some money.

This company is totally a scam, and unfortunately I completely fell for it in a desperate time of need. I purchased the premium package for 60.00. After I purchased the packaged which was 300 assignments and then 100 assignments it stated that you could not cash out until all of the assignments were completed. I did a little research and didn’t find anything really out there. Little did I know, it was because the company was brand new, so not enough time had elapsed for all the complaints to come in. I contacted them via email and they indicated I could request payment twice. I spent hours upon hours completing the 300 assignments and the requested payment. They indicated that it would take 6 to 8 weeks because they would have to submit each assignment to each company whose website you reviewed. I then decided to do some research again and that is when I started hearing of the stories and the “infamous”letter that you would receive that basically stated that you did not do the assignments properly and the companies refused to pay. I also checked them out with the Better Business Bureau and not only did they receive an F rating, but it also stated that if you gave them money you should contact your local authorities. In any event, after I sent an email to them inquiring about whether or not I was going to get paid or get this “infamous” letter, I, of course, received that “infamous” letter with the hour. I am so made, I could spit nails. I have been bantering back and forth with them. Visit my blog, as I have posted my emails to them and their responses back to me. I have yet to receive a response to my last reply. I will not rest until this company goes out of business and stops scamming people. So please people, don’t fall for it. Don’t be enticed by their little scam free seal, as anyone can purchase that seal for $39.95. Don’t become another statistic of yet another person who put their faith in a company that is only out to hurt and scam you. These people are down right criminal. I wish there was a way that these sites could be policed in some fashion so they can stop getting rich by being criminals. It is just so frustrating.
Another little note I forgot to mention Doesn’t it seem a little odd as well that they do not ask you for information in order to complete a W-9 form? Any company that pays you over $600.00 is required to complete a W-9 form. So, seeing as their payment threshold is $1,000.00 they are required by law to complete these forms. They are probably scamming the IRS as well. I don’t know if there is a way to report them on that front, but I will be looking into it.
I see we all have a lot to say about FromHomeDataEntry.com. I came across your website right after I purchased the $24.95 package from them which was about a month ago. I saw how everyone on your website had very bad feed back from this website so I came back here to verify that a little more.
When I first saw that website I saw that they would give 7 free assignments and thats $10 each so I was like what the hell thats $70 in my pocket. Little did I know that I would have to purchase a package just to get the $70. So I didn’t even think about it. I thought hey $25 for $70 plus what ever else I could earn not a bad deal.
I purchased the package and started to complete each assignment which was pretty much just viewing different advertisements and answering questions about them after. Thats why I felt like this was a legitimate thing because they made sure you were actually viewing and not just skimming through it because they would ask you a few questions about what you read.
Also on a lot of the other things I’ve tried when I seek help from that company no one replies back to me or you chat to an electronic message or fake person. But this site had someone who actually wrote back of course everyone knows this person “Tina”. She was the only one who replied to my questions. I’ve emailed her a lot and she would always reply back to me assuring me I would be paid for the work I did.
And it wasn’t easy doing these assignments. Its not hard but sitting there everyday reading each assignment was boring and took up a lot of time especially when you have to view all the links on the page which leads you to a whole bunch of other things. I could barely do 10 a day because it was to long.
So a little over two weeks passed and I started to doubt this site because they would update their page without notification so it looked totally different and I kept thinking I was going to the wrong site. After about a week or two I stopped and then recently went back to check up on it.
I found out that I could not get into my account. So I checked my email and received a mail from them saying that they updated their website and that I would have to sign up again for another account. I was pissed because if I signed up for another account didn’t that mean that I would lose all my assignments. I tried to even request payout but I couldn’t because I didn’t have the correct log in information. So I went ahead and did what the email said to do.
I waited and didn’t receive any email that said my information was updated. So I emailed them and finally got a response. I assured them in my emails that I would blog and advertise to everyone that their site was a big SCAM if they didn’t pay me. Tina was furious with what I had to say. And she keeps on assuring me I would be paid in her response emails.
But like you all said, I to have to wait 8 weeks because they need to process my assignments. So in my final email to them I told her if they don’t I would keep my word and advertise to everyone that they are indeed a SCAM. And don’t even bother calling them because no one answers it goes directly to their voice mail.
So I’ll be back in 8 weeks so that’s what, mmmmm, so by March 15 I should receive my payment.
One more thing, I forgot to mention that after all my very very unpleasant emails to them I received all my information and even my payout but I still have to wait the 8 weeks.

Penny, did you actually spend any money? If you did, you can go back through Plimus who are the ones that process their orders. Check out my blog. I have posted the bantering back and forth between me and that awful company. I have also filed a complaint with the FBI Cyber Crimes Unit. The other day I was looking for some free web templates for my websites I am creating, and if you go to http://www.freewebtemplates.com and you will see their website on there. So that is just one more thing. They didn’t even pay money to have their site created. I am also going to be writing a letter to the IRS as I find it interesting that when you become a member and finally request payment after wasting you time, they do not request any information to complete a 1099 form which is required by any company paying you more than 600.00. I did alert “Tina” to that fact as well. I tell ya, I have never been so pissed about being scammed from a company before. So, has anyone been paid from this place? It would be nice if we could all band together to do what we can to make sure this place cannot hurt anybody anymore.

Please Read my previous comments about this company above. Yes my girlfriend and I was scammed by this company last year, like everyone else. I did report them to two Cyber Crime websites. But I don’t think that anything will be done about it. Just awareness. That is why they are still in business.
However, there are two ways to get your money back from this company.
The 1st-Contact your bank and let them know that this company is a scam and did not deliver on their promise, and reguest to have your $$$ credit back to your account. I bank with Wacovia and they credit my account back the full $49.95 with no questions ask, other than me filling out a form to have them to investigate this company.
The 2nd Thing you can do is-Have a Tax professional to do a Schedule C and you have them to fill out the Independent Contractor portion on your taxes for 2009 if you completed the work in 2009. You will have to pay taxes on the work you completed from, FromHomeDataEntry. I completed 300, so I should have made $3,000. After I pay about $100 for taxes or around that or what ever amount I suppose to pay, than when this is reported to the IRS, they will see that I/you paid taxes on this, and you will get say, in my case $3,000 credit for the lost.
Which means you would get your money what ever the amount is that you completed your assignments. Thank God! I have a dear girlfriend the same one that was scammed like me, that is a Tax Professional that told me about this option.
Again, talk to a Tax Professional about this either over the phone or in person. Remember to to tell them you are prepared to pay the taxes on this, but next year when you file for your taxes, you will write it off as a lost. Remember like Penny said, research everything, even what I am tell you to do. Talk to a Tax Professional!

I hope this helps someone out there. Just to let you’ll know that since this has happen to me, I have decided to start my on online business later this year. This summer or early fall I will be going into a MBA program in E-business/E-commerce Management, to start my own online E-business/E-commerce Consulting company(this is just one online business ideal I have, I have many others). I only want to do my own thing. I never want to work for someone else online ever again. I just don’t trust people to work for them online.

I requested payout well over 8 weeks ago. I have contacted them repeatedly and received no response – not the “infamous” email or anything at all. I am sure at this point I will not get paid. I’m just glad I only got the small package. :-/ It seemed legit, when an actual person emailed and explained the company was an aggregator or information; however, I feel stupid for being duped.
So, to those who didn’t believe this was a scam above – I’m your proof. I did all the assignments (1,000) and made sure all the Is were dotted and Ts were crossed. I contacted them when there were duplicates. I did everything I was supposed to do. They couldn’t have found basis not to pay me for poor work – they just went radio silent instead. I’m in a bit of a pinch (been out of work for a bit) and could really use the money, but I guess I spent all that time for nothing. Be warned!

i was also scammed by fromhomedataentry i answered all the surveys trying to be as error free as possible. waited for months for the payment but until now received no reply.
I am very familiar with sites like this one. They really have no intention of paying anyone at all. The purpose for their website is to get sign-ups to the products on the “assignment” websites. You can bet that they are affiliates of every one of these websites. They’re really very transparent when you think about it.

I had written a comment on this website and feel I need to tell what has happened to me. I submitted 87 websites and was told that they would pay me 100.00 for this work. Well ok but the problem is, they never paid me. I tried several things to get them to either pay that amount or give me a refund and nothing can be done. Sad but true. They are still up and running and no one really cares if you lost your money or not.
The fact that it was registered as a no scam website didn’t seem to matter..
I’m sorry for those who have put there time and effort into this program but it goes back to if it sounds to good it probably is a scam.
The websites that are honest companies will also pay for this.
I could try and go after them legally however for a 100.00 it isn’t worth it.

I can not believe this darn company is still up and running. It just makes me sick to my stomach to think of the time I wasted and money that I did not have invested into such a fraudulent company. From what i read on your site, and what i received in this email, i am staying away from this.
Well, isn’t this a surprise? NOT. I just finished with FromHomeDataEntry, because the infamous Tina Cooper threatened to SUE me for harassment if I attempted to contact her again. Imagine a Support rep suing a customer for harassment?! That’s a switch. Imagine Sears/Roebuck the day after Christmas: “If you come back here one more time with that broken toaster, I’m gonna sick my lawyer on your ass!” I don’t think so.
Anyway, I had none of the problems shown on this page. Which might seem weird, but there’s a reason. You see, Tina told me that my first 7 trial assignments were “perfect,” and that mine was “just the kind of _work_ we’re looking for.” She should have said, “_performance_,” but we’ll give that one a pass.
What I can’t give a pass for, however, is Tina’s persistent grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors in her own communications to me. I exchanged several emails with her, and finally told her that I could correct her mistakes, but she is wont to DEFEND them to me, so forget it. I said, “Please let me speak with your supervisor.” Well, Tina took a long time to reply to that one. When she finally did, she said that SHE IS THE MANAGER, and that what she says goes. At that point, I figured that:
A) Either that’s the truth, and therefore Tina is the entire company, which amounts to one computer, one ISP, and a pet snake watching her type her mistakes while she scolds you guys for making mistakes, or,
B) It’s a LIE, and there is someone else conspiring with her, but whoever he is, he’s not about to take on a guy like me who can see through their scam without ever having found a list of the disgruntled (notice the final “d” in disgruntled) victims who’ve wasted however many dollars on however many hundreds of assignments only to find they’ll never be paid a red cent.
You see, one of the things that got Tina ticked off with me was my insistence to see verifiable payment proofs. All she could offer were webshots of PayPal from 6 months ago (obsolete) with the account numbers blacked out. I said that I need to see payment proofs that I can verify, or else I must conclude that they’re all FAKE. That was the last straw for Tina. She said she “obviously” could not supply account numbers. Well, DUUUUH, if she did, then I could look up the transactions and find they never happened. So, no, OBVIOUSLY, that would defeat her purpose: to scam me.
Anyway, I’m done with FHDE, and thanks to this page, I don’t have to wonder anymore if I missed something. I missed nothing but grief, and that’s a good thing to miss, no?

FWIW, I got the FHDE link from a Clixsense ad, in NOVEMBER 2010. So, if Clixsense is “investigating” in February, 10 months should have turned up SOMETHING. Right? Please tell me it isn’t so!!!
IOW: there is no “investigation” going on.
Clixsense is not obliged to reject advertisers who practice fraud.
And viewers of Clixsense ads have to be careful not to get involved with scams advertised there, even if they really, really want to believe that Clixsense is going to take care of them like a nice daddy should.

Hakim is conrrect that http://www.secrethomedataentry.com is the same with http://www.fromhomedataentry.com. the schemes and terms are all the same.
It appears that they both advertise in the same ptc site (clixsence.com).
I am thinking that if all who have already upgraded and paid so much to be a paid member on either of these sites (fromhomedataentry.com or secrethomedataentry), why can’t we pool our resources together in posting with the same http://www.clixsense.com (the same ptc site which they used to lure their victimes) an ad which says WE HAVE NOT BEEN PAID DESPITE DEMANDS. I think it will cost just $2 to post an Ad there. A small contibution perhaps from all of us will easily raise the needed amount to be able to post the said Ads with clixsense. Possibly $0.10 from each of us will easily raise the minimum cost for advertisement. Let us do it in the same venue where they LURE future VICTIMS.
I think an Ad simply telling that “WE HAVE NOT BEEN PAID BY *** DESPITE DEMANDS” is not against the law because we are simply telling the TRUTH.
Count me in, just tell me the paypal email address to where I can send my contribution for such campaign.

Thanks everyone for your comments, because I read this site before sending FHDE any money. I tried their 7 first assignments and got support answers for my questions, but it was surreal. Here they are asking for me to catch errors in texts, but the support replies were full of errors in grammar and spelling. Any specific question I had to see how to better give them what would be useful for them was answered with things like, “Oh, your work is just what we’re looking for.” Huh? I know that what I submitted was deliberately defective, and they said it was “perfect.” NOT!
The last straw was when I challenged them on their sloppiness and they crabbed at me to not send them any more support emails or else they will report me to the police for harassment. Now that’s a switch!! That’s when I found this page and all the scammed members, so I knew it was all a bad joke. Criminals never sleep, apparently.
