Another day. Another data entry scam BUSTED.
As long as new data entry scams keep popping up, we’ll keep knocking them out of the park. From Home Data Entry is no exception. It surfaced mid-summer and is employing new tricks to lead victims to believe that new method of data entry has surfaced and is profitable. It costs money to join. Yes, instead of getting paid, you have to pay your employer. Sounds kind of backwards, no?
Don’t Work for FromHomeDataEntry.com
FromHomeDataEntry.com uses a different approach to lure you into buying a data entry job. Instead of the usual sales pitch that goes a little like MAKE SEVEN BILLION DOLLARS NOW, they, instead, offer you a free trial that consists of 7 data entry assignments. On completion of these assignments, you’ll receive a $10 credit to your account.
If you complete all 7 assignments, you’ll have $70 sitting in your account and you’ll probably be ready to do more work or at least cash you the money you’ve made. However, if you want to do more work, or even receive the money that is due to you, you need to first become a paying member.
Let’s try this again.
In order to make money at FromHomeDataEntry.com, you need to first pay them money.
Does your head hurt too?
Why the hell would you need to pay someone to give you money? That’s like your boss asking for a five dollar bill in order to hand you your paycheck. It just doesn’t make sense! And to top it all off, paying members must hit a balance of $1000 before cashing out!
Yea, you don’t want to join this one. Just in case you were still considering it, here are three more reasons to stop.
Shady Business Practice #1: You may NOT contact us.
If you click over to the contact page before signing up, you’ll be greeted with this lovely message.
In order to keep spam at a minimum, we require you to join our program before you will be able to contact us. It is free to join and once you do you will receive unlimited customer support.
Now, why would a business not want potential employees to be able to contact them before sending along money?
Shady Business Practice #2: Here, uhh, use this form.
As you complete your trial assignments, you are directed to use a form to submit your answers. The form can be found here: http://www.fromhomedataentry.com/form.html and it is the same form used for every assignment. The form was generated using ‘PHP FormMail Generator’ and after looking through the source code, it didn’t look like the form actually did anything. Yes, you could fill it out entirely and press submit, but what happens after that?
Shady Business Practice #3: WHOIS? No thanks.
One way to find out more information about a company is to lookup the WHOIS information on their domain name. This will give you the contact information of the owner if the registration has not been set to private. The contact information wasn’t set to private for FromHomeDataEntry.com but rather, this is the listed contact information.
Domain name: FROMHOMEDATAENTRY.COM
Registrant:
N/A
Street
City, USA 11111
US
Now if someone from City, USA could go down to Street and check on FromHomeDataEntry for us, that would really help us out. Wait, what’s that? Oh, it’s not anything at all. Hmm.
STTTTEEEERRIKKKKKKEEE THREE!
But none of that compares to…
How to Get Unlimited Amounts of Money Credited to Your Account
I ALMOST want to join just to see if I could get them to pay me a lot of money. After every assignment, you are sent to this page: http://fromhomedataentry.com/members/credit.cgi where you have to manually type in your username and password in order to receive “credit” for your work.
The thing is, you can visit that page at any time and submit your username and password for free $10 credits. After you submit your username and password once, you can press refresh as many times as you wish and $10 credits will keep arriving in your account. I’m currently at $1600. Surely, a legitimate job would have much better security systems in place that would prevent it’s employees from depositing thousands of dollars into their accounts within seconds.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say they don’t care how much or how often you credit your account because they have no interest in paying you in the first place.
FromHomeDataEntry Contact Information
Numerous attempts to get in contact with these people have failed. At first, I tried calling the phone number listed on their website, but every time I called the phone rang twice then went to a recorded message saying all representatives were busy and to send in an email. Questions sent via email have yet to be answered.

As always, leave a comment below regarding your experiences with the company.
Are you trying to make money from home but have no experience and don't know where to begin? I've been conducting a rather thorough review on a program called the Wealthy Affiliate University. In just a few days time, I've managed to make back my investment into the program and am already seeing quite a bit of profit from my work at home. If you're interested in making money from home, then I highly suggest you click here and read my full review on Wealthy Affiliate.

Steve, I agree 1000% with your assessment about the homedataentry.com site that you reviewed in your article. Four years ago, I was one of the suckers who invested, then, $49 to become a member of their little”community”. It’s an absolute scam. They provide tutorials to “get you started” on your money making ventures. Unfortunately, as I found out to my frustration, what I learned did not amount to anything worthwhile. I did not make one dime in my attempts.
I since go by the golden rule with regards to working from home. If any site offering home-based opportunities asks for money up front allowing you to join as a “member” you should do the following. RUN, do not walk away from them. These include all survey companies that promise, for $49.99, if you join as a member they will provide you with a list of one hundred or more survey sites; all you have to do is complete a profile. They guarantee that you will make a five/six-figure yearly income, putting in only two hours/day of work. For everyone’s information, by doing research on your own, (google, yahoo search engines) you CAN find the sites that do have legitimate good survey opportunities. And, they are all FREE to join!
Please everyone, do not fall for these well-conceived, bogus scams! And from personal experience, I can tell you that the site HomeDataEntry site, is definitely one such bogus opportunity that should be complete IGNORED!!
Jeff
I would like to say how much I enjoy visiting your website. The research that you do on these scam sites is awesome and on point. I always do my own research whenever the latest and greatest make money from home website pops up. I make it a point to visit your site first to get the real scoop. Your website has definitely helped me to avoid being scammed.
Not only informative and money-saving to us home jobseekers, but humorous too!
I had that same thought you had Steve. Isn’t the idea of getting a job in the first place is so YOU can work and receive money from THEM? If I could afford to PAY someone for the honor of working for them, I don’t think I’d be having to look for work in the first place.
Or maybe they’re operating on that tired old investment success formula – you have to spend money to make money. Well, the way the economy’s going I’m spending plenty and hardly MAKE-ing ends meet.
I love your website!!!
I’ve been doing this system for the last two weeks and have earned almost $400. I decided to request a pay out and this is the message I got after filling out my info:
“We have received your request for payout. We now have to verify each assignment to make sure that you have followed all of our terms on each assignment. Please allow us 2-4 weeks to verify all of your assignments before we are able to process any payment. We will notify you as soon as your payment has been processed. DO NOT REQUEST PAYOUT AGAIN! If you do it will delay your payout request longer.”
I’m guessing they’re going to find a bunch of errors in my work and only pay me $5 or something like that.
thanks for the information, if you know dataentry job that’s really pay the member please email me at hadi.hilya @ yahoo.com, because I do need this job.
I wish I had found your site earlier. You are right about FromHomeDataEntry site. I can not believe I was victimized by that scam site. I wish everyone who operates that site be run over by a ten-wheeler truck. However you have a point about, why should you pay money for them to pay you money. I was new to this data entry jobs so from now on I would be more careful in joining such sites. I will also consult your site first before I join any money making site. Your site is a great help. Continue with your reviews. Thanks very much!
I joined fromhomedateentry just saturday night. It is now Tuesday and I cannot get in to do my assignments. That’s how I found your site. Trying to get into my assignments. What’s up with that? I promised myself this is the last program I will try. I have already been scammed by others. This one seemed ligitimate. Wow.
i joined a month or 2 ago. i think the domain is down as i cannot get online either. i emailed support (who has been good at getting back to me when i have questions).
like others, i have that question mark in the pit of my stomach wondering if they will find a bunch of errors in my reviews and kick them out then only pay me a fraction of the amount they really owe me.
i would LOVE to hear rachel’s results. Rachel… please let us know!!!
i’m sure they have to review your entries… it only makes sense. like Steve said, he can easily fluff his account and i’m sure they are reviewing accounts to make sure they arent’ paying for work not done.
i will remain optimistic and hopefully will not be super disappointed at the end of the day
I am waiting to hear back from “Fromhomedataentry as well. It seems to me that the site is down. I can’t logged on.
I am close to my payout amount of $3,000 for 300 assignments. I will keep everyone posted on this.
I pray this is not a SCAM! Because I was referred to this company by a close friend, who was also referred to by another person, this other person emailed my friend a Screen Shot of $975 after the Paypal fees. She told my friend that she did get paid my them. This was a trusted individual that my friend was dealing with.
I will be speaking to my friend sometime today about this.
Judging by the comments, it looks like fromhomedataentry closed down its site today and you guys are finding our site through Google.
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you’ve been scammed and any money you invested into the program and any money you made working for the program has been lost.
Personally, I suggest you get in contact with Paypal or your bank/credit card company and try and get a refund.
Thanks Steve,
I will contact my bank today and try to get a refund. I will let you know the outcome in the near future. Wow! Even the SCAM sites, tell you that they are not a SCAM! Thank God I am only out of $49.95. But I did waste a lot of time working on the Assignments. Wow!
I am so upset right now!!!! Now you can’t trust anyone online it seems. I am thinking about creating my own Information Product online (e-Book)anyway. I have many years of experience in the Spa Industry.
You just have to create your own online business then you know you can trust that, because you are the creator.
Lastly, I should have ask for a payout when I had reached $1,000. Then I would have known sooner. What a waste of my time.
MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steve,
I went to your website. I wanted to ask you can I put any company that I am thinking about doing business with online your way. So I can get a second opinion, from you?
Also I did visit your site. You do have some good information on your site. I will check it out in more detail later. Do you know of a good source for me to start my own e-Book online?
Thanks Again!
Dear Admin,
I’ve did the same thing and filled about 1000$ assignments, and sudenly i found your site. Kinda eye-opener to me which makes me feel very bad that i’m duped. Few questions i’d like to ask you…why the account is still there and i can access it as well, second why this fraud company is still running? is it possible to take this site down from some authorities?, They ask me to pay them because they are also getting it from somewhere right?? and for which co. is paying to them of which some amt, they are paying back to us. Also if you intentionaly filled 7 free assignments twice, it will show the twice money, but soon u log out and log in, the amount became correct if u buy the assignments……
kinda fuss.
the site is back up today. i still would love to hear from those of you who have requested payout. i’m hesitant to spend any more time with this until i know i’m getting paid.
I know Susan. What should we do? I am going to finish up I have about 10 more to do and than I am going to ask for my payout. I will be finished with this in exactly one hour.
I will let you all know what happens. Either way I am still waiting to hear back from them by email. I will be asking for a refund from my bank if they don’t deliver as promised.
We could get a refund if we state to our banks or paypal that the company didn’t deliver as promised on their product. Usually you just go into the bank and fill out a form and they will credit your account back temporary until it is fully investigated.
I know they got all of our very upset emails. Maybe their are scared! Hope so anyway.
Good Luck With This! Keep me informed Susan.
Do any of you guys have any updates on this program?
i heard they are advertising via clixsense? so they are definitely still around. i’m really pretty anxious to hear from anyone who got their payout. i am still completing some reviews but really only in my spare time… until i hear from others who got paid out.
I too have been scammed by this company, however at this point they havent even cashed my electronic pay (check)for 24.95,I wanted to stop check but my Bank will charge me 30 dollars to do so,so basically I am out 24.95 if they ever cash electronic check.I did 12 assignments with the Company and started to think to myself what type of service am I offerring to this company that they cant get a speel check software or an Editor to do.At this point I feel I wont get any money from this company as they will soon realize an excuse by saying your payment didnt clear.I spent about a week on this scam and Cashed out (not that I will ever see the money).I really started to doubt this program when they would have conflicting information like when you cash out they tell you 4 to 6 weeks to get paid, then you get an email that says 6 to 8 weeks to have all you assignments checked out.We need to shut this site down as too not allow them to screw over any more people. When I signed up I thought I would be paid for each assignment as they were turned in,then once paid and joined they tell you you get paid one all assignments are submitted and if you cash out early you wont get creit for remaining assignments you paid for.Something Fishy there.
I would like to hear directly from people scammed by this company for we all can get together and do something about this scam. Please write me at (andyin137@aol.com)..
Each of us could contact individually in the State of WA. The company looks to be out of Seattle, WA. The Seattle Federal Trade Commission.
We all can file a complaint with the following below: (Just Google each one) it will bring up the main site for each.
-U.S. Department of Justice (The Handled consumer complaints for Fraud on the internet)
-Federal Bureau Of Investigation (They handled Internet Business Fraud issues)
-IC3.Gov (This is a Internet Crime Complaint Center and they refer complaints of Cyber-Crime)
-On Guard Online (Internet Fraud issues)
This is just a few I have information on many more. I am going to file a complaint with at least two Agencies.
Hope This Helps!
i’m not convinced it’s a scam until someone actaully says they’ve requested payment and have not gotten it (and that they actually DID review the web pages).
i was told it would take around 4 weeks to receive a check from their customer service department. i don’t think that’s a long time given the fact that a lot of people really aren’t doing a review of the site.
many of these sites have a lot of grammar and spelling errors that a spell check and grammar check won’t pick up. if you were really reviewing these sites you would know that.
be careful about running to the above mentioned places and complaining without some kind of proof. i don’t see any actual proof that this company is not for real. if you run around slandering them it could come right back at you.
as of now, and correct me if i’m wrong, i have not heard anyone on this site, or any other, say that they have been wronged by this company.
Susan-
What makes you so sure this isn’t a scam? Let’s review:
-You have to PAY them money to work.
-They started in July, yet have had “proof of payments” posted on their website since the site has opened”
-There are no accounts anywhere online of people being paid by this company.
-You can quickly and easily add thousands of dollars to your account.
-They follow the exact same formula as the other 10,000 data entry scams out there.
-Whens the last time you worked a job where you had to pay your employer $50 up front to work? That’s like working at a grocery store, but paying your manager to be able to work the cash register. Where’s the logic in that!?
-You have TO PAY TO WORK.
By all means, keep working and sending them money if you think it’s legitimate, but you will be back here soon enough complaining that you haven’t been paid.
Susan,
I would like to know how many Data Entry Assignments you reviewed? I reviewed 355. I was sent additional 200 Assignments to complete for a total of 300. The additional 55 were duplicates.
I was told I wouldn’t be paid for any duplicates and to start from number one, because they updated their system. Plus I always heard back from Tina by email if I had questions up until now.
She would respond to my friend and I emails within at least 2 business days. It has been one week and neither of us have heard anything regarding our payout.
We are both Professional Women who thought we could make a little extra money outside of our Full-Time Careers.
As I stated before I pray they are not a SCAM for all the hard work many of us have put in. You are not the only person Susan that has put in long tiring hours to put out very accurate, professional work.
Also why wouldn’t they tell everyone that have completed their work, that their check will arrived approximately in 4 weeks?
I ask for my money to be sent to my Paypal Account. Why didn’t you? The Paypay fees aren’t that much to transfer your Paypal money to your Bank Account.
Lastly, I have reported them to Anti-Scam Sites as “The Company Not Contacting their Members regarding their payouts and giving step by step instruction regarding their payout.”
It just doesn’t sound or look good period as Steve have said.
By the way, you might want to review your blog for misspellings since you stated above that others haven’t check Fromhomedataentry Assignments accurately. That is not a nice comment to make.
I will not be responding anymore on this website until I hear back from them one way or the other.
I wish everyone the best in getting paid by this company.
This company’s parent company is Plimus.com
If you paid through Paypal, look at the receipt and it will tell you where the money was sent. I am also one of the people duped by this site. I fully intend to allot a certain amount of money to advertise against this company. I am disabled and am in the middle of getting my disability and can’t afford to be scammed but it happened. These people have no conscience nor heart. I plan to post negative threads(the truth) about this company whenever the opportunity presents itself.
I to done the trail & am glad i didn’t pay any money!
Thought i would check out what people were saying first & glad i did
doesn’t look good for the people that have paid already would love to hear from anyone that does get paid.
Here’s the info recorded at digitsec if that means anything?
Good luck everyone

Just like some of the people here, I signed up for fromhomedataentry.com. I am waiting for the pay out I requested September 22. I emailed Tina, the customer service rep, if there’s anyway to expedite the payment and I was told that I will have to wait up to 4 weeks.
I am still hopeful that this company will pay.
I will post updates on my site, pangwarta.blogspot.com
HELLO EVERYONE I HAVE BEEN SCAM FROM THOSE PEOPLE AS WELL ITS A SHAME THEY TAKE PEOPLE HARD EARN MONEY IN PEOPLE DO ALL THOSE ASSIGNMENTS REQUEST THERE PAYOUTS IN THIS WHAT THEY SENT ME )
**** We have sent all of your assignments to the companies and all of them
have refused to pay because you failed to comply with the terms when you completed your assignments. The agreement that we have with these companies is that they are only required to pay for assignments if they are completely in line with all of the terms.
Please take this time now to read our terms. If you go to our home page you will see the terms link located at the very bottom of the page as well as on the sign up page and the assignments before you login and many other places located on our website.
We are not able to force these companies to pay when the terms are not followed.*******
THEY ARE SOME LYING ASS PEOPLE I HAVE COMPLETED 250 ASSIGNMENTS I WISH PEOPLE CAN START REPORTING THOSE FROMHOMEDATAENTRY.COM PEOPLE I HAVE NOT RECEIVE ANY MONEY YET SO START CALLING YOUR BANK IN CANCEL THOSE PAYMENT YOU MADE TO THIS COMPANY FOR REAL.
After waiting 2 months for my payout of over 1,000.00 and seeing some of the ads I had done for these people on other advertisements here is the response I received. I am going to report these people to The Attorney General, Washington State, BBB and any else I can think of.
Hello,
We have sent all of your assignments to the companies and all of them have refused to pay because you failed to comply with the terms when you completed your assignments.
We are not able to force these companies to pay when the terms are not followed.
Just to be specific about the terms that were not followed were the following:
Terms that were not followed:
4. “You should not repeatedly miss clear mistakes that are on the websites. On many of your assignments there will be clear mistakes that you will only see if you are reading the entire information. You will see things such as “oyu” or “hte” on these websites to test if you are actually completing your assignments. You need to find the mistakes, and then list the mistake along with the correction for the mistake. If no correction for the mistake is provided, then it is considered incomplete and you will not be compensated for the assignment. Each of these websites contains an average of 20 mistakes on them. Although we do not expect you find every single mistakes on these websites we do expect you to find at least the majority of them. If you do not find any mistakes on these site then you will not be compensated for any assignments that you submit.” We do not expect you to catch every single mistake as that is hardly humanly possible, but you failed to find any of them, even though these websites were full of them. Being that other members were able to find many mistakes for the same websites that you were not able to, these companies will not pay for it.
6. “You are required to use complete sentences being as descriptive as possible when you are completing your assignments in all of your answers for questions numbers 1, 3 and 4. A complete sentence must include the following: start with a capital letter, finish with proper punctuation, include a subject, and it must include include a verb. Any fragment sentences will not be accepted. You must also use proper spelling and grammar in your assignments. Abbreviations are not acceptable. You will not be paid for any assignments that are submitted without complete sentences being used.” This is to be treated as a professional job and if you were to type up any reports for any company your job would not last very long if you could not use complete sentences. You basically answered with one or two word answers, you did not use capital letters to start your sentences and, you failed to use punctuation at the end of sentences. If you do not know how to use complete sentences you should not be doing this work, because these companies simply will not pay for any assignments that are not completed with complete sentences.

Sincerely,
Robert Sanders
