An Affiliate Marketing Training Program You Can Trust

We signed up for Wealthy Affiliate to see if it’s a good deal for affiliate marketing training. Read about our first impressions here.

In my last posts about affiliate marketing, I wrote an introduction for newbies and then I suggested some things you should look for when considering an affiliate marketing training program.

And let me be very clear: yes, it’s true that you can learn online, for free, and through trial and error everything you need to know about affiliate marketing. But it will take you a looooong time. And you’ll lose a lot of money while you climb that mountain.

That’s why we believe it is worth the investment to pay for good training so that you don’t have to re-invent the wheel. We have looked at a few programs and signed up for a couple. I’m going to introduce you to one of them.

It’s called Wealthy Affiliate and you can check it out here.

How Wealthy Affiliate Fits the Bill

In my last post, I gave four must-have criteria for evaluating a training program:

  1. It should teach you about SEO (search engine optimization), or how to get Google to like your site(s).
  2. It should teach you how to get traffic to your site(s) because no traffic=no money.
  3. It should have a clear refund policy.
  4. It should have no or very few complaints about sloppy refund practices.

Wealthy Affiliate knocks the first two out of the park. I am very impressed with the quality and quantity of information in the members’ area. You will learn systematically, from experts who have done it, exactly how to drive traffic to your affiliate links and how to get those viewers to buy.

Want to know how it teaches you that? Go to the Wealthy Affiliate page, scroll down to the bottom, and click the Frequently Asked Questions link. On the FAQ page, click on the images on the scrolling banner at the top to learn about their keyword research tools and other details.

As for the last two recommendations on my list, I’m less enthusiastic. I can’t find a stated refund policy anywhere, but I also haven’t found any complaints about Wealthy Affiliate’s money handling or customer service. And at $40 per month, you can cancel your membership at any time, so it’s not like you have to max out a credit card to get in.

It might be a good fit for you if you are looking for some good affiliate marketing training. I’ll give you some more details about the inside view in my next post.

Meanwhile, click on over to the page and watch the video tour. I think you’ll want to know more after you watch it.

I am interested to read your article above and wonder how it compares to Micheal Andrews “profit lance” course which several people I know have told me is excellent for people who are new to the net and making money online.
