Woo-Hoo! President Obama Wants to Bail Me Out!

Is this legitimate? Is Pres. Obama really standing there with a check in his hand waiting for me to knock on the door to the oval office?

And I’m not even a multi-millionaire banker! I haven’t paid $1.4M to remodel my office in at least a couple of years. Nor have I purchased high-priced prostitutes and charged them to my I’ve Tried That corporate card. And I haven’t paid Steve a 7-figure bonus since, like, NEVER. How did I qualify for this miracle of generosity? Why, just by being me, apparently.

I mean, I’ve never bought a $70 million corporate jet and don’t have any paid lobbyists running around the halls of Congress on my behalf. That’s why I was pleased but shocked to receive this in my e-mail today:

From: Free Grant Money
To: Dave
Hello Dave, [Joe observation: Dave?? Why can't spammers get my first name right?]

President Obama is already handing out *BILLIONS* of dollars to regular people like you and me to stimulate” the economy. Don’t sit by and let someone else collect your money. There could be thousands available to you in as little as one week.

Because of the poor economic situation, getting government money has never been easier. Grants of millions of dollars are available now. Get Your *FREE* CD Today and let us show you how to get money back from the government.

This is a free-trial program so have days to look at the info (and get your money) before even paying for the kit.

YES! All my wildest dreams will come true! Is this legitimate? Is Pres. Obama really standing there with a check in his hand waiting for me to knock on the door to the oval office?

I made sure my NoScript Firefox extension was running correctly and clicked the link. It took me to a familiar place: Free Grant Toolbox.

Free Government Grants? Not Likely

In other words, the same old song and dance. Sign up for a “free” CD (only $2.95 shipping and handling), and then get hit for up to $100 dollars in monthly mystery charges if I don’t cancel on time.

No one is going to bail you out except you. Don’t look for free government grants to solve your financial problems, and stay away from gimmick-filled programs like Free Grant Toolbox.

ONE MORE SCAM FREEGRANT TOOLBOX.AS THE GUY FROM GRANTS .GOV AND THE F.T.C SAID IF IT SOUND TO BE GOOD TO BE TRUE IT IS . THESE PEOPLE LIKE FREE GRANT TOOLBOX NEED TO BE STOP.

The scam is that there is a free trial with a nominal charge, then after a week they zap your account. There is also a small “international” fee because their bank isn’t located in the US. What does that tell you?

Scammers need to be stopped. They are a blight on our society.

There are grants that people, minorities, others, can get from the federal government. There are also low-interest loans, as well. The feds publish a book that used to cost 9.95 to let a person know what the grants are, how to get the applications, etc. It comes from Pueblo, CO. Sometimes libraries have them. You have to know what you’re doing, though. As with any other government program, you have to jump through the hoops and get through the red tape, but it can be done.

One grant website i read the fine print and of course it had the hidden charges but what caught my attention is that under Contact Us on the site it had a corporate address and it was in the Phillapines. So now our grants are coming from overseas LOL….

Best Survey Panel’s website doesn’t even have a “Contact” link, so you can’t bitch at them and tell them that there ARE no free government checks being handed out to people. I bet they took it out just for the sole reason that people were bitching at them about trying to cheat others, which they’re still trying to do.
