Staying Warm for Less
In my post on Monday, I had mentioned receiving a free heated mattress cover from Heated Mattress Covers Direct in exchange for a review on the blog. Well, the cover couldn’t have come at a better time. If you’re anywhere near the north east section of the US, you know how cold it is outside. Staying warm all night can be a challenge. Running the heater all night just isn’t a viable solution. Hell, my gas bill has nearly doubled in the past month and winter isn’t even close to being over yet. Temperatures are supposed to drop even lower tonight!
Prior to receiving the heated mattress cover, I would have had to crank the heat up a few degrees just to keep from waking up in the middle of the night shivering. Now, I stay comfortably warm. The heated mattress cover goes between the sheets on your bed and the mattress. It has heating coils woven in and out of the cover. I was initially worried about these coils. My fear was that I’d be able to feel them as I was laying in bed. Well, it’s been a week now and I haven’t noticed them once. Oh heated mattress cover, where have you been all my life?
If you haven’t noticed, I’m entirely satisfied with my heated mattress cover. In fact, all of this talk makes me just want to cut this review short and go lay in my warm bed for a while. It’s negative twenty-two degrees outside!

Welcome to the warm side of life. Sleeping on a heated mattress pad is like falling into a giant warm hug. I’m tempted to get one from this company, though, since mine doesn’t have an automatic shutoff feature.
These are SO great! I have a large 2 story home that is a pain to keep warm…..got a heated mattress pad for mother’s day last year and I raved about it to ALL my friends!!! My kids all got one for presents too. Now everyone is toasty warm all night and the furnace doesn’t run so much. Well worth the money you’ll save it over and over by reducing your heat costs. Automatic shut offs are a must though!!!
