Here’s yet another scam email message. When will they get really creative? I mean, I would love to see a Nigerian scam letter featuring a vampire, or a zombie, or someone trying to recover the bones of a long-dead relative. This same old routine is not only insulting, it’s boring me! Always some sob story about a rich orphan who needs my help! Come on, people! Is that the best you got?

Sometimes I write back to mess with them, but more often I’m just forwarding it to the email provider with a request to close the account for fraud. Be careful out there on them Internets tubes.

Hello Dear,
We are very sorry if we have bothered you by our email.
I am Sandra Grant and my brother‘s name is Smith Grant .I was 18 Years old, when we lost our father 3 years ago,his from Freetown,
Republic of Serra Leone. Our father‘s name is Grant Johnson who was very wealthy dealing in Agriculural products and gold from serra leone to Egypt and Ivory Coast.
He has succeded in saving $ 6.5million dollars during his Business on Agriculural products and Gold, before he went on a trip to Republic of Cote D‘Ivoire West Africa were he was hit by bomb during france and cote d ivoire crises in the year 2004.
Since the death of our father our step mother has been trying to kill us, she has been given us a lot of problem and she has collected every danm thing from us and now she still need she still need the deposit certificate to claim this Fund, which our father deposited with a financial firm in Abidjan the capital city of Cote‘D‘Ivoire but I can‘t give it to her because is all we have to leave with.
I am 21 years now while my little brother is 19 years of age we still need to go school and have a better education in life. Our step mother knows that our dad has such Fund but she doesnt know where exactly the Fund is been deposited. Right now we are hiding in a refugee camp in Ivory Coast.
Our father used my name “Sandra Grant” as the next of kin to the deposited money and we ran away with the deposit document, so nobody have access to the money now except me and my brother.
We need help from you, to help us retrieve this Fund from the Financial Firm and also help us to invest it in your country and you will be sincere to invite us to your country. We are inclined to offer you 10% of the total sum as a mode of compensation for your effort after the successful retrieval of these fund to your nominated account overseas.
Please kindly reply back to us via sandra5grante@yahoo.com.
Best regards,
Sandra Grant.

“my stepmother want to kill me!” LOL that was very funny and original, I still receive the:

** “A millionaire died in an air plane crash” type of letter.
** I receive also “you won the lottery” and
** “your million dollar is deposited in our bank, contact me to complete the money transfer”

The Millionaire (and his family) e-mail is still out there. I just got one the other day claiming they were trying to find “Heirs”. What tipped me off was they were using my Married name….DUH!
