SecretConsumer.com is a scam … they charge money for something you can find for free. Even when you join and pay the money they just give you a link to companies you can sign up with. And when you go to their sites it says FREE. Never ever pay those liars. My girlfriend got scammed. I was so mad at her. $20 is not a big deal but imagine that 1000 people are scammed every month … somebody should stop those liars. Post that in every blog you know. I paid the $19.95 fee for secretconsumer.com. I have been given no lists of jobs to search through and no links to find them. Have I been scammed and is there absolutely nothing I can do about it?

Hi again!!! I have been shopping for about 2 years now and will again recommend you go to volition.com and use there list of Mystery shopping companies to get started. I would say to start out with ssanet.com which is Sinclaire, shopnchek.com , beyondhello.com , and kernscheduling.com which has a lot of companies you can sign up off of there. This is just a few. I don’t know about the BBB but I know I get paid and I love to shop for exxtra money.

I myself am starting to wonder about the BBB. Turns out my own family member had a friend who worked as mystery shopper and loved it! I’m trying to find out who it was through, because I’m very interested. Maybe the lady at the BBB that I spoke to was getting ready to leave for lunch break and didn’t feel like dealing with me!

I was kind of wondering about the BBB because I tried to find information on “Mystery Shopping” and I received no leads but I met a couple of people that said you have to just look in the want ads and sometimes a company will place an ad if they are looking for mystery shoppers. I know mystery shopping exists because I worked for Walgreens and they used to have mystery shoppers come in their quite a bit. Oops, maybe a call can be made to various companies (incl. Walgreens) to see how they went about getting mystery shoppers.

Hello. I just spoke to a lady from the BBB and she informed me that they do NOT have a list of any good “mystery shopping” sites. She said that every site that they have come across has been a scam in one way or another, and none of them are 100% legit.

Just thought I’d let you know.
