I received a cashiers check for $3,975.20 today from Surveylot.com. I went to try and cash it at several different place’s as well as my bank, and the bank wouldn’t take it, they said it was no good, it didn’t have enough numbers in the routing number to make legit. Other place’s such as Walmart would have, but there policeis is for checks under 3000.00, so I went home and got on the internet to check this place out, and fortunately I found out and was lucky I didn’t cash the check and be responsible to pay back, and I sure can’t off a fixed income, although I sure could have used the money. I was told numerous times not do these things online, that it would cause me trouble, and it sure could very done that. So as far as I’m concerned thy can stick this sturr where the SUNN don’t Shine…..

Ok, I just got a check for $3,975.20. I talked to the guy who was in a big hurry to get me to complete my first assignment. He also told me how lucky I was to be getting this opportunity. If it’s to good to be true…..It’s to good to be true. I looked it up on Google and big surprize! It’s a scam. Thanks all for sharing.

Hi, I live in Australia and was considering doing paid surveys through SurveyLot.com and have actually joined up with them but so far have not received any surveys. Just discovered this scam info about them – will I still get ripped off in OZ?! Is it any better here or just the same crap?! Always the way, too good to be true.

Received check from your office. Need to rech David Karoby. Phone 1-289-888-1851 does not get through from here in Ohio. I was in the hospital last month in surgery and recovery. Just now opened your letter. Am ready to start. Thank You, R.S.V.P.

I just received one of these checks in the mail today. Mine was sent from Canada, but it has an address from California on the inside…has anyone else received one like this?

Thanks to all of you who have reported these incidents! It’s now March 25, 2009 & “SurveyLot” is still doing this with the checks in the mail. I got one today & decided to check it (Google) before doing anything else. I am very glad that you have all reported your experiences. My opinion is that we will all benefit more in the long run if we keep posting comments about their sites. I’ve worked in law enforcement and with Consumer Protection Div. of state attorney general’s office – they just don’t have the time/manpower/desire to pursue these mail fraud cases. Perhaps at the Federal level? I’d suggest keeping your check(s) & sending copies of everything to someone at the Federal level who could investigate interstate mail fraud. Who knows? We might get lucky & get someone arrested. It’s very unlikely, tho. Best thing is just keep people posted as to how easy it is to be scammed.
